Our Faculty Institute Days offer professional development related to teaching and learning for all Brescia instructors, including contract faculty and instructional staff.

The ALT Centre is pleased to announce registration is now open for the Spring 2022 Brescia Faculty Institute (BFI), taking place on Thursday, May 5.

The Brescia Competencies have been in place since 2016 and this year’s Spring BFI is an opportunity to revisit the Competencies. Although there have been some revisions, it is time for a deeper dive to review the Brescia Competencies.

Does wording need to be revised to improve accessibility and relevance?
Are there additional competencies to develop?
Do any of the existing Competencies need major revisions?

This full-day event (9:00 am - 3:00 pm) will contextualise the Competencies current place in learning and teaching at Brescia, and prompt discussion about how we can continue to adapt the Competencies to meet the evolving needs of our community.
